Original Broadcast Date: 9/23/83 to 3/24/84
DVD Release: 05/30/06
Overview:
Jump in the General Lee (through the window, of course), hang on, and get ready to ride! The Dukes return for the a sixth season of willy schemes, purty gals, down-home humor and back-road thrills that, as folks in Hazzard County say, will quiver your liver.
This season, look for twice the Hazzard hijinks: two flashes (for double the fun), two Roscos (for double the dumb) and identical twin Southern belles (for double the gal trouble). And every episode includes two good ol' boys, Bo and Luke, for double the lickety-quick action. Add Daisy, Uncle Jesse, Boss Hogg, Enos and Cooter and you have more good times than a hound dog in a T-bone steak patch.

Tour the Original Hazzard County in Georgia with Ben "Cooter" Jones and Sonny "Enos" Shroyer

Review:
If you already have the first five seasons, there's nothing I need to tell you to get you interested in season six. You are probably already planning on getting it. If you don't have the previous seasons then don't start with six! Start at the beginning and work your way up.
I'm not going to discuss each of the episodes but there are 22 total. By this point in the series they have used and destroyed a lot of Dodge Chargers so you will see some footage reused from earlier episodes. The stories themselves though stay true to the Dukes of Hazzard story telling and provide good quality entertainment.
The special features are enjoyable but they leave you wanting more. Getting to see "behind the scenes" and hearing the cast and crew talk about the glory days of DoH is just as enjoyable as the episodes themselves. Ben Jones and Sonny Shroyer take us back some of the key places in DoH history when the early episodes were shot in Georgia. They take you to the hotel where the cast all met and even show you the room numbers that they each stayed in. Later on they take you by the courthouse, the college and several famous jump scene locations. Last but not least we get to see that the Boar's Nest is still standing albeit serving a different purpose.
The "Legendary Charger" segment is also really well done and talks about the history of Dodge and how the Charger came to be. It also includes Tom Sarmento (series chief mechanic) and Wayne Wooten (Dodge Charger Registry) discussing various aspects of the General Lee. Again, these little "shorts" just barely touch the surface of what is VERY interesting information for DoH fans.
